According to the final live+same day ratings for it's time slot, The Mentalist was FIRST in households (6.7/11), viewers (10.58m) and SECOND in adults 18-49 (2.6/7). These ratings are comparable to the previous repeat broadcast on December 23rd, 2008.

The Mentalist garnered series high ratings for episode 5, “Redwood”, according Nielsen overnight data for the evening of October 28th, 2008. Attracting 16.07 million Live+Same Day viewers, it came in #2 in it’s time period and tied for #1 in the coveted 18-49 demographic with a score of 3.9/9.
